In recent years a controversy has been raging concerning what is commonly known as the "Third Fatima Secret." The focus of this controversy is the allegation that the Vatican has been conducting a cover-up of the true contents of the Third Secret and attempting to misinterpret the Message of Our Lady of Fatima. Before going into the details of this controversy, it is well worth the time to review the history and background of the Third Secret.
It was during the third apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary to the three children, Lucia dos Santos, Jacinta and Francisco Marto, on July 13th, 1917, that Our Lady revealed the "Great Secret." The fact that there was a Secret of immense importance became so well known, that in the following month, the children were apprehended by a local government administrator, in order to force them to reveal the Secret and prevent them from continuing to receive the apparitions of Our Lady. The children refused to reveal the Secret, even though the administrator threatened them with death.
It was not until 1941, that it became publicly known that the Secret was made up of "three distinct parts." In her Third Memoir, dated August 31, 1941, Sr. Lucia wrote, in obedience to her Bishop: "...the Secret is made up of three distinct parts, two of which I am now going to reveal. The first part is the vision of Hell… The second part refers to the devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary."
Sr. Lucia was ordered by her Bishop to amplify what she had written already. In her Fourth Memoir, dated December 8, 1941, Sr. Lucia gave the most detailed account of the first two parts of the Secret:
"Sacrifice yourselves for sinners, and say many times, especially whenever you make some sacrifice: O My Jesus, it is for love of Thee, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary."
As Our Lady spoke these last words, She opened Her hands once more, as She had done during the two previous months. The rays of light seemed to penetrate the earth, and we saw as it were a sea of fire. Plunged in this fire were demons and souls in human form, like transparent burning embers, all blackened or burnished bronze, floating about in the conflagration, now raised into the air by the flames that issued from within themselves together with great clouds of smoke, now falling back on every side like sparks in huge fires, without weight or equilibrium, amid shrieks and groans of despair, which horrified us and made us tremble with fear… The demons could be distinguished by their terrifying and repellent likeness to frightful and unknown animals, black and transparent like burning coals. Terrified and as if to plead for help, we looked up at Our Lady, who said to us, so kindly and so sadly:
"Here you have seen Hell, where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to My Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace. The war is going to end; but if people do not cease offending God, a worse one will break out during the pontificate of Pius XI. When you see a night illumined by an unknown light, know that this is the great sign given you by God that He is about to punish the world for its crimes, by means of war, famine, and persecutions of the Church and of the Holy Father.
"To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to My Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of Reparation on the First Saturdays. If My requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated. In the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to Me, and she will be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world. In Portugal, the dogma of the Faith will always be preserved; etc. Do not tell this to anybody. Francisco, yes, you may tell him.
"When you pray the Rosary, say after each mystery: O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell. Lead all souls to Heaven, especially those who are most in need of Thy mercy."
In 1946 several historians of Fatima were able to secure more precise information on certain important points from Sr. Lucia:
Q. "When did you receive from Heaven permission to disclose the Secret?"
A. "In 1927, here at Tuy, in the chapel; but the permission did not apply to the third part of the Secret."
Q. "Have you spoken of it, then, to your Father Confessor?"
A. "Yes—at once."
Q. "What did he say?"
A. "He commanded me to write the Secret—except the third part. I think he did not read it. He gave it back to me. Shortly after I had another Spiritual Director who ordered me to burn it; after which he ordered me to write it again!"
Sr. Lucia smiled while recalling these episodes.
Q. "It seems regrettable that the secret was not published before the war?"
A. "That would have appeared regrettable indeed if the Good God had wanted to present me to the world as a prophetess; but I believe that was not His intention. Moreover, I think that in 1917 He could have commanded me to speak, whereas He commanded me to keep silent, and His order has been confirmed by His representatives. I think then… that God did not want to make use of me except to remind the world of the necessity of avoiding sin and of making reparation for offences against God by prayer and penance. Besides… I would, perhaps, have spoiled God's work. Silence has been for me a great grace. I thank the Good God for it; and I find that everything He does is well done!"
Q. "When writing the Secret, have you quoted literally the words of the Blessed Virgin?"
A. "Yes; when I write, I try to quote literally. I have then wished to write the Secret, word for word."
Q. "Are you sure you have recounted all of it?"
A. "I think so, and I have written the words in the same order as that in which they were said."
Q. "Did the Blessed Virgin really mention the name of Pius XI?"
A. "Yes. We did not then know if he were a Pope or a king; but the Blessed Virgin spoke of Pius XI."
Q. "But the war did not begin during the reign of Pius XI?"
A. "The annexation of Austria was the decisive cause. When the Treaty of Munich was concluded, my (religious) sisters rejoiced saying that peace had been preserved. Alas! I knew better!"
Q. "This 'strange light' on the night of 25th-26th January, 1938, astronomers call the Aurora Borealis. What do you think of it?"
A. "I think that if they examined the thing well, they would have perceived that, taking into the account the circumstances under which this light appeared, it was not and could not have been an Aurora Borealis."
Q. "In the Secret the Blessed Virgin says: 'To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia, etc.' Did She come?"
A. "Yes, She came into my room on December 10th, 1925, with the Infant Jesus, asking for the five First Saturdays of the month… Then in 1929, in the chapel at Tuy, She asked for the consecration of Russia."
Q. "At what actual stage are we of the period mentioned in the Secret?"
A. "I think that you are at the period when false doctrine shall propagate its errors throughout the world" (More About Fatima, Fr. Montes de Oca).
In her published Memoirs, Sr. Lucia wrote nothing distinctly revealing the third part of the Secret. It simply remained a secret. In October of 1943, however, after Sr. Lucia had recovered from a serious illness, she was commanded by her Bishop (who feared that the third part of the Secret might die with her) to commit it to writing. Sr. Lucia said of this event: "They have ordered me to write down the part of the Secret that Our Lady revealed in 1917, and which I still keep hidden by command of the Lord. They tell me either to write it in the notebooks in which I've been told to keep my spiritual diary, or if I wish, to write it on a sheet of paper, put it in an envelope, close it and seal it up" (La verdad sobre el Secreto de Fatima, Fr. Joaquín Alonso).
Sr. Lucia tried to obey, but felt herself impeded by causes which were, in her words, "not natural." Finally Our Lady appeared to her again and gave her the strength to comply with the Bishop's command. On January 9 of 1944, Sr. Lucia wrote to her Bishop: "I have written what you asked me; God willed to try me a little, but finally, this was indeed His will: it (the third part of the Secret) is sealed in an envelope and it is in the notebooks…" (Ibid.) From this statement, many infer that Sr. Lucia wrote two documents: one in a sealed envelope, and another in her personal notebooks.
Sr. Lucia sent the sealed envelope to her Bishop (Bishop da Silva of Leiria, Portugal) on June 17 of the same year. Upon the sealed envelope, Sr. Lucia had written: By express order of Our Lady, this envelope can only be opened in 1960 by the Cardinal Patriarch of Lisbon or the Bishop of Leiria. She also requested of Bishop da Silva that the sealed envelope "would definitely be opened and read to the world either at her death or in 1960, whichever would come first" (Ibid.) Two years later, when asked by Canon Barthas the reason for this date, she replied: "Because Our Lady wishes it so" (Fatima, Marveille du XXe Siècle, Canon Barthas).
Later Bishop da Silva placed that envelope in a sealed envelope of his own with the inscription: This envelope with its contents shall be entrusted to His Eminence Cardinal D. Manuel, Patriarch of Lisbon, after my death. However, this never happened; instead, for reasons never fully disclosed, orders came from Rome to deliver the envelope to the papal nuncio, along with the notebooks of Sr. Lucia and photocopies of all her writings on file in the chancery of Leiria. This was accomplished on March 16, 1957, and all these documents were delivered to the Vatican.
Soon after it became known that Pope Pius XII had personally taken custody of at least part of these documents. A journalist for the magazine Paris-Match, Robert Serrou, was permitted to do a photo-story on the Papal apartments, on May 14, 1957. He was shown around by the Pope's German housekeeper, Mother Pasqualina. Mr. Serrou saw a small wooden safe on a table, bearing the inscription Secretum Sancti Officii (Secret of the Holy Office). When he asked her what it was, Mother Pasqualina replied, "The Third Secret of Fatima is in there…"
Numerous Church authorities promised that the "Third Secret" would indeed be revealed in 1960, including Cardinal Cerejeira of Portugal and Vatican Cardinals Ottaviani and Tisserant. But Pope Pius XII died in October of 1958. When 1960 came, an expectant world was told that John XXIII had decided not to comply with "Our Lady's wishes." A Vatican press release, dated February 8, stated: "Faced with the pressure that has been placed on the Vatican, some wanting the letter to be opened and made known to the world, others, on the supposition that it may contain alarming prophecies, desiring that its publication be withheld, the same Vatican circles declare that the Vatican has decided not to make public Sister Lucia's letter, and to continue keeping it rigorously sealed.
"The decision of the Vatican authorities is based on various reasons: 1. Sister Lucia is still living. 2. The Vatican already knows the contents of the letter. 3. Although the Church recognizes the Fatima apparitions, she does not pledge herself to guarantee the veracity of the words which the three little shepherds claim to have heard from Our Lady.
"In these circumstances, it is most probable that the Secret of Fatima will remain, forever, under absolute seal. (A.N.I.)"
It was with this ominous gloom that Vatican Council II was begun in October of 1962. One can imagine, then, the sensation caused in October of 1963, when a German periodical, Neues Europa, published what it claimed was an "extract" of the Third Secret.
We will give here a translation of that article, which appeared in the October 15th edition:
In Neues Europa of October 1, 1963, we already announced to our readers the publication of the following inquiry. Louis Emrich was able to obtain information of the highest interest on the third part of the message of Fatima. We are able to give our readers the content of the third message of Fatima under the form — that is, an extract — in which it was presented to the diplomats of Washington, London and Moscow, — The Editor.
What Neues Europa had already forecast in 1956-1958, i.e., that during the years 1963-1965 the conclusion of accords of worldwide significance would be reached between the Anglo-Saxon countries on the one hand and the Soviet Union on the other, has become reality with the agreement of August 6, 1963, at Moscow on the cessation of all further atomic testing in the air, on land and under water. To date over 90 governments have signed this agreement.
What is not as well known, on the other hand, is the fact that the Moscow accord was not only a happy result of worldwide diplomacy, but also of Vatican diplomacy. In effect it was the first time in the recent history of humanity, that in the conclusion of a political agreement of worldwide significance, the participants took into account essential factors originating from religious data. Paul VI permitted not only Kennedy but also Khrushchev to look at certain parts of the third message of Fatima which the Mother of God had revealed on October 13, 1917, to the little Portuguese seer Lucy. This message is so pressing that it even deeply impressed the circles of those persons who were employed in concluding the Vatican-Moscow accord.
I have done everything possible to procure for myself the original text of the third message of Fatima, but all my efforts remained futile. The Vatican has made all the arrangements for this document to remain a papal secret until a new order.
However, today I am in a position to communicate to readers of Neues Europa in all countries an extract of the content of the third Secret, in the form made available on inside information, in diplomatic circles of Washington, London and Moscow . . .
This extract of the third message of Fatima was also passed on to President Kennedy, to Prime Minister MacMillan, and to Khrushchev, so as to let them study it personally. This text played a great role during the signing of the Anglo-American-Russian accord at Moscow. The leaders of the two world political blocs were all shaken by its contents, just as were Pope Pius XII, John XXIII, and Paul VI. According to rumors emanating from diplomatic circles, the conclusion of the accord banning all further testing of atomic bombs was in great part the consequence of the profound impression left by the extract of the third message of Fatima on the competent diplomatic circles of Washington, London and Moscow. Although this document is not the original text of the message of Fatima such as it was revealed on October 13, 1917, by the Mother of God to the little seer Lucia, essential points of the original are nevertheless found there. It says:
It was the thirteenth of October, 1917. On that day the Holy Virgin appeared for the last time to the little visionaries, Jacinta, Francisco, and Lucia, at the end of a series of six apparitions in all. After the manifestation of the miracle of the sun at Fatima, the Mother of God revealed a special secret message to Lucia, in which she particularly stated:
"Do not worry, dear child. It is I, the Mother of God, speaking to you and asking you to proclaim in My name the following message to the whole world. In doing so, you will meet strong opposition. Be firm in your Faith, however, and you will triumph over all opposition. Listen and remember well what I am about to tell you:
"Men must become converted. They must implore pardon for the sins they have committed and for those they will commit again in the future. You have requested a sign by which all men would understand My utterances given to Humanity through you. This miracle—you have seen it this very moment. It was the great miracle of the sun! All have seen it—believers and unbelievers, peasants and townsmen, scholars and journalists, laymen and priests. And now, proclaim in My name:
"A great punishment will come over the entire human race, not yet today, nor tomorrow, but in the second half of the 20th Century. What I have already made known at La Salette through the children Melanie and Maximin, I repeat today to you. Humanity has not changed as God expected it to. It has sinned and trampled underfoot the gift it had received. There is no order anywhere. Satan rules even in the highest positions and determines the directions of things. He will succeed in worming his way even into the highest summits of the Church. He will succeed in seducing the minds of great scholars who invent armaments with which half of humanity can be destroyed in seconds. He will have the mighty among the peoples under his sway and will induce them to turn out mass productions of arms. If Humanity does not amend itself, I will be forced to let go the arm of My Son. If the mighty of the earth and of the Church do not oppose this, I, Myself will do it and I will ask God, My Father, to allow to come over men the punishment of His justice. Then it will be that God will punish men more harshly than He did by the Flood, and the mighty and the powerful shall perish along with the humble and the weak.
"But this will also be a time of great trials for the Church. Cardinals will be against Cardinals. Bishops will oppose Bishops. Satan will walk in their ranks. In Rome, there will be great changes. What is rotten will fall and what will fall will never rise again. Darkness will envelope the Church and the world will be thrown into a panic.
"The great, great war will come in the second half of the 20th Century. Fire and smoke will come down from the sky and the waters of oceans will turn into vapor; their form will explode towards the sky and everything that stands will collapse. Millions and more millions of men will perish from hour to hour and those who survive will envy those who have perished. Around and everywhere, there will be anguish, misery all over the earth and ruins in every country. Look, time is getting shorter and shorter, the chasm is getting wider and there is no way out; the just will perish with the evil ones, the mighty with the humble, the princes of the Church with the faithful, the sovereigns of the world with their people; everywhere death will rule in triumph, through the fault of mad men and the partisans of Satan, who then shall alone rule the world.
"It will be a time no king nor emperor nor Cardinal nor Bishop will expect, but which, nevertheless, will come to punish and avenge, according to the design of My Father. Later, however, when those who survive this are still alive, God and His Glory will again be proclaimed; God will again be served as in the old days when the world was not so corrupt. I call upon all the true disciples of My Son, Jesus Christ, all the true Christians and the apostles of the latter days! The time of times shall come and the end of ends, if Humanity is not converted and if this conversion does not come from the top, from those who lead the world and the Church. But woe, woe to Humanity if it is not converted; if this conversion is not forthcoming and if everything remains as it is now or gets worse. Go, My child, and proclaim it. For I will always be at your side and I will assist you."
I add once more that this is not the text of the original message such as the Mother of God revealed it on October 13, 1917, to the little seer Lucy, now a Carmelite, but an extract of the third message of Fatima such as is circulating this moment in diplomatic circles. I am assured that the authentic text of the message is even harsher and more overwhelming than the extract related above. However, it is not inevitable in its conclusions, because it places the conversion of humanity before its perdition. How will humanity decide? This question, before just as after, remains open. — Louis Emrich.
In 1981 Louis Emrich's widow, in an interview with Professor Hans Bender, revealed that her husband had conferred "for a very long time" with "a priest from Rome" before writing the 1963 article. Rome never issued any official denial of Emrich's text, which he reprinted in 1970.
Those who categorize the Neues Europa text as a false version of the Third Secret generally do so for the following reasons:
1) It seems inconceivable that the Vatican would leak part of the Third Secret to world leaders, when it purportedly speaks of Satan walking in the ranks of Cardinals and Bishops—and this, while the Vatican was trying to paint such a rosy picture of Vatican II.
2) There is evidence, which will be discussed later, that the original Third Secret was written on one sheet of paper and that it is quite brief—perhaps 20 to 25 handwritten lines. The Neues Europa text is much longer. If handwritten, it would require several pages.
3) Many believe the words of Our Lady near the end of the Second Part of the Secret, "In Portugal, the dogma of the Faith will always be preserved; etc.", are a preface to the Third Part of the Secret. Clearly the contraction "etc." means that something Our Lady said has been left out. The Neues Europa text makes no such connection.
4) One of the statements attributed to Our Lady in the Neues Europa text appears to have been plagiarized from a well-known book.
5) In the July Apparition, Our Lady told the children to tell the Secret to no one. In the Neues Europa text, Our Lady is supposedly telling Lucia to "announce this" and "proclaim this."
6) The Great Secret with "three distinct parts" was, according to Sr. Lucia's Memoirs, given to the children at the July Apparition. The Neues Europa text has the Third Secret being given to Lucia after the Miracle of the Sun at the October Apparition.
7) No war greater than that predicted in the Second Part of the Secret broke out in the second half of the 20th century, and certainly there was no nuclear holocaust, as the Neues Europa text appears to predict.
8) In follow-up articles, Louis Emrich commits numerous factual errors and apparent fabrications; not unlike many journalists of today.
Proponents of the Neues Europa text appear to be unanimous in that they do not accept it wholly—indeed, neither did Louis Emrich, as we have seen. They agree with Emrich insofar as he claims, "...essential points of the original are… found there." Given the sources, it is to be expected that these "essential points" would have been enhanced and amplified, particularly with regard to the warnings about nuclear war. The sources clearly were interested in promoting public support for nuclear arms reduction. And given such enhancements, it would not be surprising for the sources to assign the Secret to the more well-known October Apparition, with its Miracle of the Sun, rather than the lesser known July Apparition. So according to the proponents, all the above objections become moot points—the only question being: is there any evidence that the Neues Europa text really contains "essential points" of the original Third Secret? The proponents answer in the affirmative, and here is some of their evidence:
1) Some Fatima experts have given credence to the Neues Europa text, including Fr. Messias Coelho. He did so on the authority of an unnamed Cardinal, who had read the original and had told him that the Neues Europa text fundamentally corresponded with it.
2) The unnamed Cardinal would appear to have been Cardinal Ottaviani. According to Vatican insider Msgr. Corrado Balducci, a Fr. Mastrocola, director of a religious newsletter Santa Rita, asked Cardinal Ottaviani for permission to reprint the Neues Europa text. "Do it, do it. Print ten thousand copies, twenty thousand, thirty thousand!" replied Ottaviani, who was custodian of the Third Secret and had read it. "Publish as many copies as you want, because the Madonna wanted it published already in 1960." With this endorsement, albeit unofficial, the Neues Europa text was widely circulated, and even republished in the L'Osservatore Romano Sunday edition of October 15, 1978.
3) While it has been rumored that Sr. Lucia rejected the Neues Europa text, this has never been proven (although it would not be surprising if this were true. As noted above, even Louis Emrich made it abundantly clear that the Neues Europa text was not the original). On the other hand, it is certain that in an interview with Fr. Augustine Fuentes, on December 26, 1957, Sr. Lucia made some statements which appear to confirm some "essential points" of the Neues Europa text:
"Father, the Most Holy Virgin is very sad because no one has paid any attention to Her message, neither the good nor the bad. The good continue on their way but without giving any importance to Her message. The bad, not seeing the punishment of God actually falling upon them, continue their life of sin without even caring about the message. But believe me, Father, God will chastise the world and this will be in a terrible manner. The punishment from Heaven is imminent. Father, how much time is there before 1960 arrives? It will be very sad for everyone, not one person will rejoice at all if beforehand the world does not pray and do penance. I am not able to give any other details because it is still a secret. According to the will of the Most Holy Virgin, only the Holy Father [Pope Pius XII] and the Bishop of Fatima [Da Silva] are permitted to know the Secret, but they have chosen not to know it so that they would not be influenced. This is the third part of the Message of Our Lady, which will remain secret until 1960.
"Tell them, Father, that many times the most Holy Virgin told my cousins Francisco and Jacinta, as well as myself, that many nations will disappear from the face of the earth. She said that Russia will be the instrument of chastisement chosen by Heaven to punish the whole world if we do not beforehand obtain the conversion of that poor nation.
"Father, the devil is in the mood for engaging in a decisive battle against the Blessed Virgin. And the devil knows what it is that most offends God and which in a short space of time will gain for him the greatest number of souls. Thus, the devil does everything to overcome souls consecrated to God, because in this way, the devil will succeed in leaving the souls of the faithful abandoned by their leaders, thereby the more easily will he seize them.
"That which afflicts the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Heart of Jesus is the fall of religious and priestly souls. The devil knows that religious and priests who fall away from their beautiful vocation drag numerous souls to Hell. ...The devil wishes to take possession of consecrated souls. He tries to corrupt them in order to lull to sleep the souls of lay people and thereby lead them to final impenitence" (La verdad sobre el Secreto de Fatima, Fr. Joaquín Alonso).
4) In a letter which was purportedly addressed to John Paul II, dated May 12, 1982, Sr. Lucia gave more hints about the Third Secret:
"The third part of the secret refers to Our Lady's words: 'If not [Russia] will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions against the Church. The good will be martyred; the Holy Father will have much to suffer; various nations will be annihilated.'
"The third part of the secret, that you are so anxious to know, is a symbolic revelation, referring to this part of the Message, conditioned by whether we accept or not what the Message itself asks of us: 'If My requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, etc.'
"Since we did not heed this appeal of the Message, we see that it has been fulfilled, Russia has invaded the world with her errors. And if we have not yet seen the complete fulfillment of the final part of this prophecy, we are going towards it with great strides. If we do not reject the path of sin, hatred, revenge, injustice, violations of the rights of the human person, immorality and violence, etc.
"And let us not say that it is God Who is punishing us in this way; on the contrary it is people themselves who are preparing their own punishment. In his kindness God warns us and calls us to the right path, while respecting the freedom He has given us; hence people are responsible."
5) In 1980 John Paul II met with a select group of intellectuals at Fulda, Germany. There he was asked, "What about the Third Secret of Fatima? Should it not have already been published in 1960?" John Paul's reply was, "Given the seriousness of the contents, my predecessors… preferred to postpone publication so as not to encourage the world power of Communism to make certain moves. On the other hand, it should be sufficient for all Christians to know this: if there is a message in which it is written that the oceans will flood whole areas of the earth, and that from one moment to the next millions of people will perish, truly the publication of such a message is no longer something to be so much desired…" (Stimme des Glaubens, October 1981).
6) On March 17, 1990, Cardinal Silvio Oddi, who had been a close friend of John XXIII, declared that the Third Secret "...has nothing to do with Gorbachev. The Blessed Virgin was alerting us against apostasy in the Church" (Il Sabbato, March 17, 1990).
7) In a personal letter to a Professor Baumgartner of Salzburg, Austria, Cardinal Luigi Ciappi revealed: "In the Third Secret it is foretold, among other things, that the great apostasy in the Church begins at the top" (Catholic, March 2002).
While not conclusive, all of these hints seem to indicate that the essence of the original Third Secret, like the Neues Europa text, has to do with an impending punishment of the world—a punishment which is both physical and spiritual, involving both Russia and an apostasy from the Catholic Faith.
Many were surprised, therefore, when on June 26, 2000 the Vatican revealed what it claimed was the genuine Third Fatima Secret; for the text of this version of the secret was not a message from Our Lady. Rather it was the purported description of a further vision granted to the three children at the July Apparition. The Vatican then attempted to interpret the vision and to put the whole matter to rest. That didn't happen. Immediately critics began to voice their suspicions, and a flood of evidence began to emerge. The criticisms and the evidence fall into three general categories: 1) that the "vision text" is a complete fraud; 2) that the "vision text" may be valid, but its interpretation by the Vatican is bogus; 3) that the "vision text" may be valid, but the Vatican is covering up the existence of a further text—the words of Our Lady explaining the vision and linked to the words, "In Portugal, the dogma of the Faith will always be preserved; etc." (To be continued…)
